Exam Dates and Applications

COVID-19 Update

The ministry continues to follow the guidance of the provincial Chief Medical Officer of Health and will update the status of examinations as soon as new information becomes available. Make sure to visit this page regularly to check for updates.

Applicants do not have to re-register for an examination session if they have already paid and registered.

Applicants who wish to withdraw from an examination must complete a Withdrawal and Refund form which can be found below for each examination.

Advanced Emergency Medical Care Assistant (AEMCA) Examination Information and Application Package

  • You will not be able to complete the AEMCA application using a device with a Mac Operating System, smartphone or tablet. Make sure you are using Windows Explorer as other browsers may cause technical issues with the form.
  • When you open and download the form you must save it to your computer and open this saved version using Adobe Acrobat Reader to complete the application. If you complete the form without using this saved version or complete the form in the web browser, you will not be able to complete your payment and your application will not be submitted.
  • If your application form has been submitted successfully you will receive a confirmation email that confirms the ministry received your application and payment.
  • If you do not receive a confirmation email contact us at CertificationExams@ontario.ca.

Advanced Care Paramedics (ACP) and Aeromedical Examinations

To complete an ACP or Aeromed application, click on the appropriate Information and Application Package link below:

  • You cannot submit your application online.
  • You must read the appropriate application guide in its entirety prior to completing the application form.
  • You must be sure you are eligible to apply by reviewing the Requirements for Eligibility section of the appropriate examination application guide.
  • Ensure that all mandatory fields are completed.
  • Sign and date your printed application form. Only signed and dated applications will be accepted.
  • Ensure the application fee is in the form of certified cheque or money order payable to the Minister of Finance. Once received your application will be reviewed.
