The Expert Panel on Appropriate Utilization of Diagnostic and Imaging Studies was established on June 29, 2012.
The mandate of the panel is to provide expert advice regarding the appropriate utilization of diagnostic and imaging studies. The goal of the panel is to ensure that patients have timely access to high quality diagnostic and imaging studies while respecting the judgement of the physicians that care for these patients.
The Expert Panel on Appropriate Utilization of Diagnostic and Imaging Studies is chaired by Dr. Barry Rubin, vascular surgeon at University Health Network. The panel includes physician leaders from a range of specialties and practice environments.
To ensure transparency of the work of the Expert Panel on Appropriate Utilization of Diagnostic and Imaging Studies, the terms of reference for the Panel and the agenda and summaries of Panel meetings will be posted on this Ministry web page.
