In December 2006, the McGuinty government asked former Senator Michael Kirby to independently review the Ontario Auditor General’s concerns on how the province measures and reports on its wait times strategy and provide advice for improvement. The independent review was released by Minister of Health and Long-Term Care George Smitherman on February 1^st 2007.
