The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care’s listeriosis update as of Wednesday, September 10, 2008.
The number of deaths among confirmed cases has increased because a case previously under investigation has been reclassified as a confirmed case. QUOTES
"The public health system continues to be vigilant for potential new cases of Listeriosis because of the long incubation period of the disease,” said Dr. David Williams, Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health. “The general public, especially those at high risk, should continue to take precautions and ensure that no recalled products are being consumed.
