Critical Care Strategy
LHIN Leadership and Support
Fourteen (14) Critical Care Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) Leaders, one (1) representing each LHIN across the province, have been formally engaged to support the implementation of the Critical Care Strategy.
Critical Care LHIN Leaders are clinical experts who work collaboratively with hospitals, LHIN CEOs, the Critical Care Secretariat, CritiCall Ontario and the ministry. Their mandate for their LHIN is to lead the :
- Planning and coordination of systems-level and LHIN-level critical care service delivery;
- Measuring and improvement of critical care services;
- Planning, rehearsal and event management of critical care surge capacity;
- Demand forecasting, resource allocation and priority setting of services, and
- Represent the LHIN at the provincial table addressing operational and planning issues in critical care.
