Medical Eligibility Committee

The Medical Eligibility Committee examines and reports to the General Manager of the Ontario Health Insurance Plan on disputed decisions of the General Manager concerning an insured individual's entitlement to an insured service in a hospital or health facility.

The Medical Eligibility Committee annual report describes agency activities and performance analysis for the year.

The Medical Eligibility Committee Business Plan includes an overview of the agency and its strategic directions for a 3 year or longer period.

The Medical Eligibility Committee memorandum of understanding is the formal agreement between the agency Chair and the responsible Minister that sets out roles and responsibilities for the agency and ministry.
