Amendment to Ontario Regulation 279/07 "Exemptions" under the Local Health System Integration Act, 2006
An amendment to Ontario Regulation 279/07 under the Local Health System Integration Act, 2006 (LHSIA) has been made to extend the exemption date for the Local Health System Integration Networks (LHINs) and the Long-Term Care Homes (LTCHs) to have signed service accountability agreements (L-SAAs) in place to the day before the new Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007 (LTCHA) is in force.
A proclamation has been issued by the Lieutenant Governor naming July 1, 2010 as the date the LTCHA comes into force. This means that LHINs and LTCHs will have to have signed L-SAAs in place as of July 1, 2010.
Ontario Regulation 73/10 which amends Ontario Regulation 279/07 is now available in English and French on the e-Laws website (under Source Law), on the Regulatory Registry and will be available in the Ontario Gazette on April 3, 2010. The amendment will be incorporated into O. Reg. 279/10 in a subsequent consolidation.
